I plan to go to New Zealand next year. First I have to finish my study, but there are a lot of things I have to decide. So it is quite obvious that all the planning will take a little time.

Some very important things I already found out.

I am under 30 years old so I can take a so called “Working Holiday Visa”. It seems that the requirements for that visa is like that “Work & Travel Visa” for Australia. All the information can you find at nzembassy.com. Choose your country because the conditions are different from your home country. If you are from Germany you can also have a look at the german pages or direct to the “Working Holiday Scheme” for Germans.

The next step is to find work and to book a flight. The peak season in New Zealand is January and February. So the flights are more expensive. It is possible to find a courier flight. That will reduce the costs for the flight.
